Boro tie up Aliadiere deal

Middlesbrough have wrapped up the signing of French striker Jeremie Aliadiere from Arsenal for an initial £2million fee.
The 24-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with Boro and will join up with his new club at the start of next month after passing a medical.
Riverside boss Gareth Southgate was eager to bolster his strike options following the exit of Mark Viduka to Newcastle United, with Aliadiere likely to be joined in the arrivals lounge by Turkey international Tuncay.
He is set to join Boro from Fenerbahce, having agreed personal terms with the north-east club.
Aliadiere spent nearly eight years with the Gunners, but failed to make much of a first-team impact, scoring nine goals in 51 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side.
However, Boro's chief executive, Keith Lamb, said of his club's new recruit: "We tried to sign him in January but were thwarted by Arsenal's injuries.
"He fits perfectly with the sort of player we are trying to bring in. He has pace and energy and he is young with his best years in front of him."
