Middlesbrough have bolstered their strikeforce by signing Charlton Athletic's Jamaica international forward Jason Euell.
The 29-year-old has spent the last five years at The Valley after starting his career with Wimbledon.
He will have to fight for a starting spot at the Riverside Stadium alongside fellow strikers Yakubu, Malcolm Christie, Mark Viduka and Massimo Maccarone.
Boro boss Gareth Southgate does not think there will be any more new arrivals before the end of the day, telling the club's official website: "I think we're running out of time.
"I've had a chance to look at things over the last couple of weeks. Performances like Monday's are unacceptable.
"I need men in the side, I need character and leadership and the people we're bringing in will give us that."
Euell moved to the Addicks in a £4.75million deal in July 2001 and scored 34 goals in 139 Premiership appearances for the club.
