Boro retain Pogatetz hope

Middlesbrough captain Emanuel Pogatetz has been withdrawn from the Austria squad for the international friendly against Turkey.
Boro hope the 25-year-old, who has struggled with a knee medial ligament strain recently, will have recovered in time to play against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
Boro coach Steve Agnew told the Evening Gazette: "Pogi's still feeling his knee. If he'd been forced to play in midweek then it would have caused him problems.
"But our medical staff got in touch with the Austrian FA and he wasn't asked to travel. After the Everton game we felt that it was vital that he got more rest.
"Pogi being Pogi he'll play against Bolton if it's at all possible. We're hopeful. He'll benefit from another 48 hours."
Pogatetz picked up the injury in Boro's win at Aston Villa earlier this month but was able to play through the pain barrier at Everton on Sunday.
