Boro may move for St Ledger

Middlesbrough are being linked with an audacious swoop for Preston North End defender Sean St Ledger.
The Evening Gazette is reporting that Boro representatives watched the 24-year-old help the Republic of Ireland beat Cyprus 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier at the weekend.
Gareth Southgate will try to bring St Ledger to Teesside on a three-month loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer in January.
The defender started his career at Peterborough United and has played 126 games for Preston following his £225,000 move to Deepdale three years ago.
Boro are also believed to be keen on Sheffield United's Matthew Kilgallon, again on a loan agreement with a view to a permanent switch.
