Boro boss accepts loss

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate had no complaints after seeing his side fall to a 1-0 defeat at Manchester city.
Southgate felt his players had failed to start the game well enough and, as a result, deserved nothing from their trip to Eastlands.
He said: "I was disappointed with our first-half showing. It was a night when the crowd was quite anxious and it was a good night to come here and play, but we didn't do enough to warrant winning the game.
"We looked dull and a bit lifeless, but in the second half we were a bit better.
"However, over the course of the game we got what we deserved. We don't need to look any further than ourselves for why we lost the game.
"I need to have a look and see if we have done the right things beforehand, because we didn't start the game in the right manner."
