Boro weigh up Balde move

Skysports.com understands Middlesbrough are weighing up a move for former Celtic defender Bobo Balde. Middlesbrough could be in the market for defensive reinforcements as speculation continues to surround the futures of key duo David Wheater and Robert Huth. Balde could be an attractive proposition for Boro if they were to lose any of their in-demand defenders as the Guinea international is available on a free transfer after leaving Celtic at the end of last season. The 33-year-old had a trial at Premier League new boys Wolves earlier this summer, but failed to win a move to Molineux. Balde is thought to be keen on a move to England and he could be a viable option for Middlesbrough if they need to bolster their defensive options.
