LOAN deals have been agreed for two young members of Middlesbrough's first-team squad.[LNB] Midfielder Josh Walker, 21, is joining Rotherham United and 19-year-old goalkeeper Jason Steele is teaming up with fellow League Two side Northampton Town, both on initial 28-day loans.[LNB] Walker, who has made eight appearances for Boro, made his first start of the season in the 1-0 home win over Peterborough a fortnight ago.[LNB] Earlier this season he enjoyed a loan spell with Northampton, only for a dislocated shoulder to force his early return. He has also had loan spells at Bournemouth and Aberdeen.[LNB] Highly-rated Steele has been a regular on the bench this season but is yet to make his Boro debut. The England U-20 international has recently been understudy to first-choice Danny Coyne.[LNB] Currently on loan at Northampton, where former Boro number two Malcolm Crosby is assistant manager, is Riverside defender John Johnson.[LNB] ** READ MORE MIDDLESBROUGH NEWS IN TOMORROW'S NORTHERN ECHO **[LNB]
