The Football Association has fined Middlesbrough £6,000 for failing to control their players. A regulatory commission hearing on Thursday handed the sanction to the North East club. The charge relates to the conduct of Boro's players in their Premier League clash with West Brom on 17th January. Referee Mark Halsey was harassed during the clash at the Hawthorns following the sending off of French midfielder Didier Digard. Boro admitted the charge and requested a personal hearing in which to determine their punishment. Gareth Southgate's men will be forced to pay £4,000 of the fine immediately, with the other £2,000 suspended until the end of the 2009/10 season pending any further breaches of the same rule.
