Boro double up against Donny

Middlesbrough continued their impressive start to the Championship season with a 2-0 victory over Doncaster and a fourth consecutive clean sheet at the Riverside. Tuncay and Leroy Lita were on target for the Teessiders, who are enjoying their best start to a campaign for 15 years. A 16th-minute collision between Marvin Emnes and Rovers' Neil Sullivan earned the goalkeeper a booking and saw the Boro striker carried off on a stretcher with a head injury, before being replaced by Tuncay. And with his first touch the Turk fired Boro into the lead as he latched onto a header from Lita and slotted home. The home side had the better of the chances and in the 71st minute it was 2-0 as Tony McMahon supplied a ball which Lita controlled beautifully before hammering home high into the net. The summer signing was booked for taking his shirt off during a wild celebration but he did not seem too concerned after scoring his first goal since moving to the Riverside.
