Jonathan Grounds has ended his loan spell at Hibernian and returned to Middlesbrough. The left-back was due to remain at Easter Road until January 29 but is now back on Teesside after Hibs manager Colin Calderwood failed to agree an extension with Boro boss Tony Mowbray. The 22-year-old made 15 starts, scoring one goal, after joining the Clydesdale Bank Premier League club in August.
