Boro agree fee for Alves
MIDDLESBROUGH are hopeful of completing the transfer of Brazilian flop Afonso Alves later today after the club agreed an undisclosed fee with Qatar club Al-Sadd.[LNB] The Teessiders are now waiting to receive the completed paperwork that will confirm Alves' protracted move has finally been sealed. The Boro record-signing is said to have agreed personal terms on a three year deal with Al-Sadd for an undisclosed fee that is thought to be around £7m.[LNB] Alves was unveiled to the Qatari press last night when he was presented with the Al-Sadd number seven shirt.[LNB]
