Birmingham show interest in Middlesbrough striker Aliadiere

Middlesbrough's Jeremie Aliadiere Birmingham have inquired about Middlesbrough's French striker Jeremie Aliadiere. Boro are willing to let the 25-year-old go for around £3.5m and Alex McLeish could yet team him with Patrick Vieira. Birmingham are still interested in Aliadiere's former Arsenal teammate but need him to lower his wage demands. Sheffield United have agreed a £1.8m fee for Watford's Tommy Smith.
