Agnew praises Boro's fighting spirit

Middlesbrough head coach Steve Agnew was happy with his team's battling goalless draw at Swansea City on Sunday.

Boro remain second bottom of the Premier League table but, with 6-pointers against Hull City and Burnley coming up, Agnew is confident they can stave off relegation.

“I think everyone could see the fight was certainly there,” he told the club's official site.

“I brought all the squad down today, some of the lads missed out, and others came on and did very well.  The fighting spirit was terrific.

“Today’s another point and we’ve not lost distance on a team above us. We regroup, we’ll be back in tomorrow morning and we look forward to the game on Wednesday night."
