Edwards in line for Glovers debut New loan signing Joe Edwards could make his Yeovil debut in the npower League One clash with Tranmere at Huish Park on Saturday. Edwards became manager Gary Johnson's first acquisition since the former Northampton boss resumed control at the Somerset club on Monday when he arrived on a one-month deal from Bristol City this week, and the 21-year-old is set to play a part against Rovers. Meanwhile, midfielder Paul Wotton will not feature for the Glovers as he has had his contract at Yeovil cancelled by mutual consent, while striker Gavin Massey - who is also struggling with a hamstring problem - has returned to parent club Watford early from his loan spell in the south west. Midfielder Dominic Blizzard will continue to miss out because of a groin injury. Tranmere will be without attacking duo Andy Robinson and Enoch Showunmi. Robinson is facing up to six weeks on the sidelines after a knee injury suffered in training earlier this week resulted in cartilage surgery. Meanwhile, Showunmi, who has not played since suffering a leg injury before Christmas, is set to remain out of action until February after boss Les Parry suggested his complaint is worse than initially feared. "We've had the results of Enoch's scan and that's not good news," he told Tranmere Player. He's got a bit of a problem in there that has been identified so it look like he won't be available for a few weeks." Danny Holmes and Joss Ladabie are injury doubts for Rovers with respective hamstring and foot problems.

Williams winner makes Johnson jump for joy Andy Williams' injury-time header gave Gary Johnson a 2-1 victory over Tranmere on his first match back at Huish Park as manager. Johnson, who was re-appointed as boss on Monday, watched on as Williams got on the end of Dean Parrett's left-wing cross to nod home from close range in the fifth minute of added time. Adam McGurk opened the scoring for Rovers with a superb free-kick, curling the ball past goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin. in the ninth minute. Yeovil, with three players making their home debuts, equalised after 19 minutes through one of the newcomers. Joe Edwards picked up the ball 22 yards out when a corner was only partially cleared and drove the ball past the left-hand of keeper Paul Rachubka. Johnson's side continued to have the better of the first half but came under increasing pressure in the second. They almost conceded in the 57th minute when Mustafa Tiryaki shot wide and there was another let off in the 84th minute when Robbie Weir's effort struck a post. Referee Simon Hooper pulled a muscle in the second half and had to be replaced. That meant seven minutes of stoppage time and Williams pounced to seal the victory.
