Wycombe handed Westlake boost
Wycombe boss Gary Waddock could have Ian Westlake available for the clash with top-of-the-table Shrewsbury.
The 26-year-old midfielder missed three consecutive games but has returned to training from an ankle injury he sustained in training and could make the squad.
Striker Stuart Beavon is pushing for his first start of the season after returning from the broken leg that ended his season prematurely last year.
The former Weymouth striker has appeared as a substitute on two occasions so far and will be hoping for more action against The Shrews.
Jon-Paul Pittman will be out for at least four months after undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his knee, but Waddock has no fresh injury concerns.
Table-topping Shrewsbury are likely to rest Lionel Ainsworth.
The 22-year-old has proved an integral player for the Shrews this season, but missed last weekend's 3-1 victory over Northampton after picking up the knock in training.
Ainsworth has since returned to training but manager Graham Turner is likely to err on the side of caution by naming him on the bench, with Tuesday's match with Port Vale in mind.
"Bearing in mind the two games in four days, what we don't want is for him to play in the game at Wycombe and then sidelined again for Port Vale," he said.
"We've got to have a good look and an assessment of [the injury] so that it doesn't jeopardise his ability to stay fit for a number of weeks."
Meanwhile, Shrewsbury have been boosted by a re-diagnosis of Benjamin van den Broek's ankle injury.
It had been feared that the Dutch midfielder had fractured an ankle in a reserve match, but a new scan has shown ligament damage, meaning he will be back faster than first thought.
Montrose earns Chairboys point
Lewis Montrose was the hero for Wycombe as his strike deep into injury-time rescued a point in a 2-2 draw against Shrewsbury.
Tom Bradshaw and Lionel Ainsworth's late strikes looked set to condemn Wycombe to defeat but Andy Sandell and Montrose cancelled out the visitors' advantage to ensure a share of the spoils.
Shrewsbury could have found themselves ahead after just two minutes but former Wanderer Matt Harrold's header from a corner struck the post.
And the home side failed to impose themselves on the game and were booed off by sections of the crowd at the break after Shrewsbury defender Ian Sharps headed against the bar.
However, they took the lead just after the hour with left-back Sandell's superb free-kick.
But Bradshaw played the role of super-sub for Shrewsbury as he nodded home just two minutes of coming on - before Ainsworth's cracking drive put them in front.
But the home side fought right to the end and we rewarded when Montrose found the back of net late on.
