Chairboys waiting on Ainsworth Wycombe captain Gareth Ainsworth remains a doubt to face relegation candidates Northampton. Ainsworth, 37, missed the 2-2 draw at Oxford last Saturday with a hamstring injury and is struggling to be fit for the visit of the Cobblers. However, manager Gary Waddock has a ready-made replacement available as fellow midfielder Matt Bloomfield is back in full training after a groin injury. Veteran defender Chris Westwood returned from a groin strain as a substitute last time out while striker Stuart Beavon - whose father Stuart played for the Cobblers in the 1990s - was replaced during the first half at Oxford with a knee injury but is available. Left-back Andy Sandell is fit again after a knee problem but midfielder Stuart Lewis has been ruled out for up to three weeks with ankle ligament damage. Northampton will be without goalkeeper Chris Dunn. Dunn lasted just eight minutes of the 4-2 defeat at home to Bury last weekend before he was carried off following a collision which left him needing 14 stitches around his eye. Manager Gary Johnson said: "Chris' injury is a nasty one and he probably won't be available for a couple of weeks. He hasn't been able to have the injury fully x-rayed yet because of the swelling." Steve Collis will make his first start between the posts while key midfielder Michael Jacobs will return to the starting line-up after recovering from illness. Defender John Johnson is fit after a thigh problem but captain Andy Holt continues to be troubled by his knee injury, and midfielder Ryan Gilligan is sidelined for the rest of the season following surgery on a long-standing ankle problem. Striker Billy McKay is out for another month after dislocating his elbow. The Cobblers have not won in 15 games and could find themselves in the relegation zone if they lose at Adams Park.

Johnson denies Cobblers vital win Wycombe produced a rousing second-half fight-back to draw 2-2 with Northampton and leave Gary Johnson still looking for his first win as Cobblers boss. First-half goals from Shaun Harrad and Guillem Bouza had looked set to hand the relegation-threatened Cobblers a first win in 16 games. But Scott Donnelly's neat finish and Leon Johnson's late header earned the Chairboys a point to keep them third in the npower League Two table. Northampton bossed the first half and Harrad put them ahead from the penalty spot after 20 minutes, drilling the ball down the middle after Scott Donnelly had barged over Paul Rodgers in the box. Wycombe midfielder Lewis Montrose blasted a 30-yard half-volley narrowly over the crossbar before Bouza capped a swift counter-attack to double the Cobblers' lead in the 37th minute. Bouza raced clear onto Josh Walker's pass to slot the ball low past keeper Nikki Bull after good work on the right by Harrad. Harrad was denied one-on-one by Bull shortly after the break before Donnelly pulled a goal back for Wycombe just seconds later, stealing in behind Dean Beckwith to fire the ball inside the near post. Cobblers keeper Steve Collis saved well from Donnelly, substitute Stuart Beavon and Stuart Lewis before Johnson headed in Donnelly's corner eight minutes from the end to seal the Chairboys' comeback.
