Rendell hoping for a start Wycombe striker Scott Rendell is pushing for a start when former manager Peter Taylor brings his Bradford side to Adams Park. Rendell was handed a chance to impress in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Bristol Rovers in midweek and seized it as he hit a hat-trick. However, Wycombe were smashed 6-3 by the Pirates and manager Gary Waddock is likely to make sweeping changes. Chris Westwood, Andy Sandell, Gareth Ainsworth and Lewis Montrose were all given the night off in midweek but should return while Dave Winfield is back from a one-match ban. Midfielder Scott Davies injured his groin in the FA Cup win at Hayes & Yeading last weekend and is back with parent club Reading while striker Jon-Paul Pitman is out until next year with a knee injury. Taylor guided Wanderers to promotion in 2009 and should be handed a warm reception. Bradford will be without central defender Steve Williams for the clash at manager Peter Taylor's former club. Williams limped out of the FA Cup defeat at Colchester last week due to a groin strain and faces a three to four-week lay-off. Taylor is hoping Shane Duff can prove his fitness and step in for Williams after missing the last seven games due to an Achilles injury. Winger Omar Daley is still doubtful due to the tight hamstring that kept him out last Saturday, while Simon Ramsden (calf) and Michael Flynn (hernia) remain long-term absentees. The Bantams have won four of their last five league games to climb up to 10th place in recent weeks.

Taylor undone on Wanderers return Kevin Betsy netted the only goal of the game to clinch a 1-0 victory for Wycombe and deny 10-man Bradford on manager Peter Taylor`s return to Adams Park. The winger bagged the winner with just 10 minutes remaining after the Bantams had see Tommy Doherty go for an early bath having shoved Gareth Ainsworth in the face. Omar Daley was guilty of squandering three chances for Bradford - who had lost just one of their last five league games - in the first half. Stuart Beavon might have broken the deadlock for the hosts midway through the first half but his header was saved by Lenny Pidgeley. The Chairboys came into the game more in the second half with Ben Strevens going close. Doherty then saw red after a scuffle with veteran Ainsworth and Wycombe made their numerical advantage count. Bradford stopped playing when Beavon was tripped in their half with the referee`s assistant flagging for a free-kick. However, as City stopped, Matt Bloomfield surged into the penalty area and despite being tripped by Pidgeley, Betsy was on hand to tap in the loose ball.
