Match Report

League Two leaders Wycombe ended a run of three consecutive draws by winning at struggling Accrington thanks to a last minute Chris Zebroski strike.

Despite winning their last two games 2-1 inside a week, Stanley are still sitting at the wrong end of the table.

And this was all set to be their first home goalless draw since they hosted Hereford United on January, 15, 2005 - almost three years ago.

Both sides struggled to make any impact on either goal, although both had second-half headers cleared off the line.

On-loan midfielder Rostyn Griffiths saw a shot deflected wide from 20 yards eight minutes before the break for the hosts.

Terry Gornell, a goalscorer in each of the last three games for Stanley, saw his 53rd minute header cleared by Mike Williamson before Zebroski's looping header was cleared by Phil Edwards.

Wycombe midfielder Franck Moussa also saw his point-blank range header tipped over by Kenny Arthur, while Matt Phillips shot wide from inside the box and Arthur was in action again when he tipped over Matt Harrold's header.

Robbie Williams almost won the game with his head two minutes from time.

But in the end it was the Chairboys who were celebrating when keeper Scott Shearer launched a long ball over the top for Zebroski to latch onto and flick home past an advancing Arthur.

Stanley boss John Coleman was convinced that the Wycombe man was offside but Wanderers have yet to lose in the league this season with 13 games gone.
