Match Preview

Wolves wait on O'Hara availability Wolves are weighing up an appeal against Jamie O'Hara's red card in Saturday's defeat to Huddersfield as they prepare to play host to high-flying Hull. The midfielder was given his marching orders for raising his hands at Keith Southern and has been handed a three-match suspension. Yet Wanderers, scrapping for their Championship safety, feel the decision was harsh and are deciding whether to launch an appeal, with O'Hara's availability to face the Tigers currently up in the air. Manager Dean Saunders has been handed positive news elsewhere with X-rays confirming Stephen Ward did not suffer a broken rib in the hugely disappointing 3-1 home defeat to relegation rivals Town. Kevin Doyle and Bjorn Sigurdarson also emerged unscathed having gone into the clash with respective groin and thigh complaints. However, David Davis (ankle), Carl Ikeme (broken hand), Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (broken leg), Bakary Sako (hamstring), Dave Edwards (metatarsal) and Razak Boukari (calf) all remain sidelined. Hull will be without suspended midfielder Corry Evans as manager Steve Bruce contemplates further changes. Evans received his 10th booking of the season in the weekend win at Ipswich and will miss the next two games. Egyptian wing-back Ahmed Fathi is expected to return in place of Evans, while Bruce will assess the fitness of defenders Jack Hobbs and Abdoulaye Faye. Hobbs returned from an ankle injury at the weekend and two games in four days might be too much for him, while Faye could also be rested. Striker Matty Fryatt made his first league appearance of the season as a last-minute substitute at Ipswich following a long-term Achilles injury and is hoping to feature again. Robert Koren is also hoping for a recall after stepping off the bench to head Hull's winner on Saturday, as is fellow midfielder Tom Cairney. The Tigers could take another huge step towards sealing automatic promotion if they win at Wolves and third-placed Watford lose at Millwall.
