Match Preview

Peszko ready to start for Wolves Slawomir Peszko is ready to make his first start for Wolves should manager Stale Solbakken elect to change his starting XI against Barnsley at Molineux. Solbakken saw his team beaten 1-0 at Leeds on Saturday and could make alterations as Wolves aim to halt their poor run which has seen them win only one of their last 27 league games. Peszko made a bright impact after coming on as a half-time substitute at Elland Road and will be pressuring Anthony Forde for a starting place. David Edwards and Bjorn Sigurdarson also made substitute appearances for Solbakken's side and will hope they have done an enough to force inclusion. Wantaway midfielder Matt Jarvis will continue in midfield, while Steven Fletcher is absent with an ankle injury. Jarvis' career at Molineux appeared in doubt, but after no deal was reached with interested parties, the England international stays at the npower Championship club. Barnsley's latest signing Martin Cranie is expected to go straight into the starting line-up. The former Coventry defender, who signed a one-year deal on Monday, is likely to be a straight replacement for teenager John Stones, who sustained a knee injury in the opening-day win over Middlesbrough. Manager Keith Hill's injury woes continue as both midfield pair Matty Done and Paul Digby have been ruled out after sustaining injuries at the weekend. Done (knee) was replaced by Kelvin Etuhu in the 17th minute against Boro, while teenager Digby strained his hamstring during the warm-up. Defender Jim McNulty missed out on Saturday after sustaining a hamstring injury in training on Friday. Hill will be without high-profile summer signing Mido and another new recruit, Toni Silva, for some time due to respective hamstring injuries. Winger Jim O'Brien dislocated his shoulder at Rochdale in last week's Capital One Cup win and goalkeepers Luke Steele (groin/stomach) and Ben Alnwick (suspended) are both unavailable.
