Hello and welcome to the JJB Stadium where Wigan Athletic play host to West Ham United with both sides hoping to gain some vital points in their chase for safety.
Match Preview
Two teams with surprise UEFA Cup ambitions meet at the JJB Stadium when Wigan Athletic host West Ham United.
The Hammers moved up to seventh in the table - leapfrogging Wigan in the process - following Sunday's 1-0 win over Manchester City.
But the Latics may have a point to prove on Wednesday as they ended Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Chelsea with a feeling of injustice.
Manager Steve Bruce claimed Frank Lampard's last-minute header should not have been allowed to stand following a foul on Mario Melchiot and the point he claimed his side were denied could well prove vital come the end of the season.
Wigan were in the midst of a four-match unbeaten run prior to their trip to Stamford Bridge and last year's struggles to avoid relegation now appear a distant memory as Bruce has built a hard-working side capable of grinding out results.
The only question-mark hanging over their heads is the ability to score enough goals following the January sale of Emile Heskey as early season hot-shot Amr Zaki is without a goal in seven games, Mido has scored just once for his new club and Hugo Rodallega is yet to get off the mark.
West Ham have their tails up as they head north following their narrow victory over Manchester City.
Jack Collison's second-half winner ensured they bounced back from a below-par display in the midweek FA Cup exit at the hands of Middlesbrough at the first time of asking and kept alive their dream of European football for next season.
Two successive league defeats - against Bolton Wanderers and Manchester United - had led to doubts about the Hammers' top-half credentials, but manager Gianfranco Zola continues to squeeze the most out of a small squad.
However, the loss of hard-working midfielder Valon Behrami to a nasty looking knee injury against City could well hurt the Hammers.

Match Report
Phantom goal referee Stuart Attwell got it in the neck from both sets of fans after sending off West Ham's Carlton Cole and Wigan's Lee Cattermole in a bad tempered game at the JJB Stadium.
But Attwell - the Premier League's youngest ref - appeared to be spot on with both decisions as the Hammers consolidated seventh spot in the table.
Goalscorer Cole went after 37 minutes after collecting his second yellow of the night, while midfielder Cattermole was shown a straight red on 54 minutes after cutting down Scott Parker, who infuriated the home fans by making a meal of it.
Wigan - now without a win in the last eight matches - had Mido and Antonio Valencia back after injury, with Ben Watson among the subs after his one-game ban.
West Ham were missing Swiss midfielder Valon Behrami, the latest addition to an already lengthy casualty list with a damaged knee from Saturday's win over Manchester City.
Keeper Robert Green was twice forced into early action dealing with free-kicks from Egypt strikers Amr Zaki and Mido.
Both managed to beat the wall but Green reacted well to turn Zaki's shot round the post and did even better when Mido cracked in a powerful low shot.
Green failed to hold onto it but recovered superbly to get it away before Luis Antonio Valencia could pounce on the rebound.
David Di Michele hammered one wide for the visitors and Cole should have made more of a good chance when he raced into the Wigan area but was squeezed out by Chris Kirkland and Emmerson Boyce.
But the Hammers took the lead on 34 minutes with a classic strike from Cole, who curled the shot beyond Kirkland for his 11th of the season after a terrific build up involving Parker, Di Michele and Mark Noble.
But three minutes later, Cole was sent off after he appeared to go high on Boyce.
Skipper Parker had to be kept apart from Michael Brown, who was also cautioned for his reaction to the Cole incident.
When tempers had cooled, ten-man West Ham enjoyed a bit of luck when Mido headed against the post from Valencia's cross and then Cattermole fired just wide with another attempt on goal.
The Latics had another chance on the re-start when a Valencia corner flashed across goal but Titus Bramble could not come up with the finish at the back post.
With both sides down to ten after Cattermole's sending off, Noble was just inches away from a second for the Hammers, who suffered another injury blow when Jack Collison was stretchered off.
But the visitors successfully played out time to further boost their chances of securing UEFA Cup football for next season.
