Wallace poised for Rovers return James Wallace is poised to return from a hamstring injury in time for Stevenage's Good Friday visit to Prenton Park and give Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore the luxury of a fully-fit squad. On-loan Everton midfielder Wallace sustained the problem during the 2-0 victory over Exeter a fortnight ago and missed out as Bury beat Rovers by the same scoreline last weekend - a first defeat for Moore since returning to manage the Wirral outfit for a third time at the start of last month. "James is fine," he told Tranmere Player. "We missed him at Bury because he has been fantastic for us since I've been here. He'll be back and he'll play on Friday." Adam McGurk and Martin Devaney will offer attacking options in wide areas after returning from a broken cheekbone and hamstring injury respectively, while Mark McChrystal's comeback after hernia surgery means the situation at Rovers is a far cry from the injury crisis that consumed Moore's predecessor Les Parry over the winter months. "There might be one or two things we tinker with and maybe change the team here and there," Moore added. "We've had half an hour this morning trying to pick the subs. McGurk is fit now (and) McChrystal is training with the first team so we've got all of the players ready for the run in." Darius Charles could be an injury concern for Stevenage. The versatile Charles had to come off just before half-time against Wycombe last Saturday after sustaining a knock. He has been monitored through the week and a late decision will be made on his fitness. Should Charles not make it, on-loan striker Patrick Agyemang or Craig Reid could be recalled to the starting line up. Depending on how manager Gary Smith decides to send his team out, midfielder Stacy Long could also be a replacement for Charles. On-loan striker Jordan Slew is available again after serving a three-match suspension following his red card for violent conduct against Colchester last month. Boro are unbeaten in nine League One matches but they have drawn eight of those, including the last five.
