Match Preview

Robins boosted by Magera return Czech striker Lukas Magera has recovered from a calf injury in time for Swindon's clash with Barnet. However, Robins manager Paolo Di Canio will not hand the forward a starting berth. "Lukas is still not quite there," said Di Canio. "He will be on the bench." The Italian will need to make a change in his back four, with Alan McCormack suspended after picking up five yellow cards this season. But centre-back Aden Flint is fit after a leg injury and Oliver Risser should also be available for selection. Midfielder Abdul Said is a long-term casualty, while teenage playmaker Matt Clarke has been allowed to go out on loan to Oxford City for a month. Dean Brill and Danny Senda are slight injury doubts for Barnet. Goalkeeper Brill sustained an ankle knock during last weekend's defeat by Oxford, although he managed to finish the game, while full-back Senda had to come off after tweaking a hamstring. Manager Lawrie Sanchez is hoping both will be fit but Liam O'Brien is on standby to start in goal while Darren Dennehy or fit-again Anwar Uddin (groin) will come into the back four if Senda is ruled out. Striker Steve Kabba came on as a substitute against Oxford after recovering from a dead leg and could be in line for a start. Midfielder Tommy Fraser is back in training after suffering concussion in training last month.

Match Report

Robins hammer Bees at County Ground Three goals before half-time put Swindon in control at the County Ground, and it was an afternoon to forget for Barnet as Matt Ritchie added another midway through the second half to complete a 4-0 win. Swindon took an early lead through Raffaele De Vita against the run of play when De Vita took a lay off from Alan Connell to fire low past Dean Brill. Swindon came into the game encouraged by their goal and doubled their lead on 22 minutes when Ritchie's shot hit the crossbar, rebounded to him, and he fired past Brill. Mehdi Kerrouche then headed home to make it 3-0 in first-half stoppage time. Swindon continued to control the game after the break with the visitors' only serious effort a long range dipping shot from Mark Byrne which Phil Smith pushed over. The home side, with Ritchie having an inspired afternoon, scored the inevitable fourth goal when the Swindon player collected a long ball and went on to beat Brill as the Barnet defence dithered. Swindon will be happy with the De Vita, Ritchie and Kerrouche goals but Barnet have a good deal of defensive work to do.
