Opportunity Knox for Stair Park boys Stranraer face Montrose with the same 16-man squad that took on Alloa last weekend with boss Keith Knox hoping can history repeat itself. Knox's side ended a losing sequence earlier in the season with a heavy win over Montrose and the manager is looking for positive omens. Knox said: "We began the season by losing to Queens Park and Alloa before defeating Montrose 6-0 and, as we have begun the second quarter with defeats again, I'm hoping things turn full circle and we beat Montrose in this one. "They will be out for revenge after that scoreline and our players and I know that was a bit of a freak result as Montrose missed a penalty when the score was 0-0 and then we got a couple of breaks around half-time. "We may have lost to Alloa, but we played well and I'm not planning many changes." Montrose will include Paul Lunan in their squad for the long trek after the defensive midfielder overcame a bout of flu. The illness kept Lunan out of the midweek defeat to Elgin, while Links Park manager Ray Farningham has no other new injury or suspension problems. Farningham said: "We got a bit of a doing in the second half of our game against Stranraer up at our place and it would be good to gain some pride back by doing a whole lot better this time out. "We did well down there last season when we won both of our games and a repeat of that success would be great. "It's a busy spell for us on the road as we have Elgin, Stranraer and then Ayr next week and travelling is always easier after a win."

Four-star Montrose battle back Montrose overturned a four-goal deficit to claim a dramatic 4-4 draw against 10-man Stranraer. The home side looked to be in cruise control when they stormed to a three-goal lead by half-time through a Sean Winter strike from 12 yards and a brace of cool finishes by Craig Malcolm. There was no hint of the drama to come in the second half when they increased their margin through Martin Grehan who drilled in from 12 yards after 53 minutes. But the game turned on its head when David Mitchell was dismissed for a professional foul on Sean Pierce who got up off the ground to convert the penalty and start the comeback. Pierce then grabbed his second from close range after 68 minutes before two fine strikes from long range by Jamie Winter brought the scores level.
