Match Preview
Aitken available again Stranraer midfielder Chris Aitken is back in contention against Elgin after nearly three months out with a broken bone in his foot. Second-placed Blues will need to pick themselves up after a 4-0 defeat against Alloa last weekend, with Saturday's clash set to take place on a very heavy Stair Park pitch. Manager Keith Knox said: "We were very disappointing last weekend as we simply never turned up and were well beaten. However, we have not become a poor side overnight and I am looking for us to bounce back straight away in this one." "There has been a lot of rain in the area this week and the pitch got a bit of a battering against Alloa so this will be a real slog in the mud." Elgin make the long trip with striker Paul Millar a major doubt due to his work commitments with the RAF. Defenders Paul Kaczan and Steven Edwards have already been ruled out, as has midfielder Blair Lawrie. Giant frontman Millar scored twice against Berwick last week in a 4-0 success, however boss Ross Jack said: "Paul has been away with his employers this week and it is not certain he will be back in time for this, especially as we will be leaving at seven in the morning. Jack added: "We got a great response from the players last weekend to our defeat against Queen's Park and I am looking for the same type of performance at Stair Park."
