Match Preview
McGregor missing for Clyde clash Stranraer defender David McGregor will miss the match against Clyde with a thigh strain. The Blues are looking to make it six wins in a row, and may include trialists Steven Stirling and Martin Grehan for a second game running. "We are on a good run just now but Clyde went to Elgin recently and won 3-0 and that is warning enough for me," said manager Keith Knox. "We defeated Elgin last week 1-0 without playing at our best so I am looking for the guys to get the ball on the ground and pass it like we had been doing in our earlier games." Clyde have almost everyone available to manager Jim Duffy. Pat Scullion is the only remaining absentee as he is still out with a knee injury. The Bully Wee lost 4-1 at home to Berwick last time out and Duffy is demanding better from his side. "We battled back to make the score 1-1 in that game and then lost two bad goals in a minute and that killed us," said Duffy. "Stranraer are doing well and will not need any encouragement in looking for a goal especially with Craig Malcolm in their side. "He is a player that I admire, as he is a good goalscorer, so we need to be extremely disciplined around him."

Match Report
Stranraer frustrated by battling Clyde Stranraer moved up to second place in Scottish Division Three but lost ground on leaders Annan after being held to a tedious goalless draw by Clyde. The Blues, chasing a sixth win in a row, saw Grant Gallagher and Stephen Stirling thwarted by Clyde goalkeeper Filip Mentel in a first half of few chances before John Neill fired over for the visitors on the stroke of half-time. The second half continued as the first period left off with chances at a premium for both sides. Dundee United loanee Mentel had little problem dealing with more long-range efforts from Michael Moore and Sean Winter. The Cumbernauld club's best chance fell to Liam Cusack just after the hour-mark, but his shot was straight at David Mitchell.
