Match Preview

Murphy returns for Stranraer Stranraer welcome back Paul Murphy for the visit of Albion. Murphy returns to the squad after breaking his nose leaving Stair Park manager Keith Knox with the happy problem of having no injury or suspension worries to consider. The Blues go into this game boosted by coming back from two goals down at Clyde last weekend to draw with Knox delighted that his players showed that they can compete against one of the favourites in the Third Division. Knox explained, "After being defeated by Morton 7-1 the week before, you could see some doubts coming in when we went two down early against Clyde, but fair play to the guys they came charging back and proved a lot to themselves." Albion Rovers boss Paul Martin has ruled four players out of the trip and he is sweating on the fitness of another three. Summer signing John Gemmell sits out the last game of his suspension and he is joined on the sidelines by the injured trio of Chris Boyle, Marc Pollock and Terry Dignam. The Cliftonhill boss also has doubts over midfielders Steven Canning and Ciaran Donnelly along with wide man Chris Hamilton. Despite the shortage of numbers Martin is being upbeat saying: "We will still be able to put out a decent looking side and one that can win. "Stranraer are a very strong side from midfield to attack and we have a strong defence so it should be a cracking contest."
