Match Report

Stockport extended their unbeaten away run in League One to seven matches when Tommy Rowe struck three minutes into injury time.

The result was tough on Hereford, who had seemed on course to keep their third clean sheet from successive matches and move further away from the foot of the table.

Goalscoring chances were few and far between in the first period as the sides had problems dealing with a strong wind.

Hereford's Darren Randolph pulled off a fine diving save from Anthony Pilkington's curling 30 yarder and Stephen Gleeson shot wide from two early Stockport chances.

Steve Guinan twice shot over for Hereford, who were largely kept in check by the County backline.

Clint Easton's pass almost opened up the County defence, but the visitors recovered to clear as Toumani Diagouraga tried to break through.

Just before half-time, Hereford's Kris Taylor shot high over after Easton's free-kick had been blocked by the County defensive wall.

At the start of the second period, County keeper Fraser Forster cleared under pressure from Sam Gwynne but only as far as Taylor.

The midfielder's volley was heading goalwards until James Tunnicliffe got his head in the way to clear.

Hereford had a good chance to break the deadlock in the 73rd minute when substitute Ben Smith volleyed wide from a good position.

And Smith's fellow replacement, Bradley Hudson-Odoi, had an even better opportunity a minute from the end but rifled his shot a yard wide from Easton's knock down.

As the game moved into stoppage time, a goalless outcome looked inevitable.

But three minutes into the added period, a long throw from Tunnicliffe again caused problems for the Bulls defence.

Rowe's first shot was blocked well by Randolph but the midfielder was able to roll the rebound into the net.
