Match Preview

Charles a doubt for Boro Stevenage will again wait on Darius Charles ahead of the return of former Boro boss Graham Westley and his Preston side. The versatile Charles had to come off just before half-time against Wycombe last weekend after sustaining a knock and missed the Good Friday defeat at Tranmere with the problem. He will continue to be monitored and a late decision will be made on his fitness. Manager Gary Smith could make changes for a second fixture in four days. On-loan striker Patrick Agyemang or Craig Reid could be recalled up front. Midfielder Stacy Long and on-loan defender Jamaal Lascelles are also options. Boro are six points shy of the play-offs after their nine-match unbeaten run was ended at Tranmere. Preston boss Westley has no new injury worries to contend with as he prepares to go back to his old club. Danny Mayor came back into the Preston side for Saturday's 1-1 draw with MK Dons following a spell on the sidelines with injury and is expected to keep his place after an impressive display. "The additional of Danny Mayor to the side made a big difference to what we could do in an attacking sense," Westley told North End's official website. "When you have got a ball carrier and pace within one of the wide areas it gives you a great opportunity to get the game moving forward." On-loan Arsenal youngster Chuks Aneke is pushing for a start in midfield after an impressive 10-minute cameo against the Dons, leading up to Bailey Wright's last-gasp equaliser. Midfielder Barry Nicholson (hamstring), defender Aaron Brown (dislocated shoulder) and striker Neil Mellor (knee) are all out.
