    Match Preview

No change for Boro Gary Smith is not expected to make too many changes for his first league game in charge of Stevenage against Carlisle. Smith began his Boro reign against Notts County in the FA Cup on January 28 and named the same line-up he had watched come from behind to beat MK Dons in captain Mark Roberts' final game as caretaker player-manager. However, the subsequent postponement of the League One fixtures against Notts and Oldham mean that was the last time Boro played. The former Colorado Rapids boss will keep any changes to a minimum and could even name the same team after defeating the Magpies 1-0 in the fourth-round of the cup. However, defender Phil Edwards, midfielders Stacy Long, Robin Shroot and Chuks Aneke as well as strikers Ben May, Don Cowan and Robert Sinclair are options for Smith should he wish to make any changes. Carlisle midfielder James Berrett returns to contention following suspension. Berrett has completed a two-game ban and manager Greg Abbott must decide whether to include him in the starting line-up following last week's win over Chesterfield. But striker Lee Miller sits out the second of a three-match suspension. Jordan Cook, on loan from Sunderland, hopes to continue alongside leading goalscorer Francois Zoko, but Paddy Madden staked his claim for a place in the starting XI after scoring twice for the reserves in midweek. Peter Murphy returned from a back injury last week to partner Lubo Michalik at the heart of defence, but Matty Robson is still struggling with a similar problem so Ben Parker, on loan from Leeds, will continue at left-back. Strikers Rory Loy (broken leg) and Craig Curran (knee) remain long-term absentees as the Cumbrians look to leapfrog Stevenage into a play-off spot with victory.
