Boro boss may tinker with team Stevenage boss Gary Smith might tinker with his starting line-up for the visit of Oldham. Boro found themselves 2-0 down at home to Chesterfield on Saturday but Smith changed things at half-time and his side managed to rescue a 2-2 draw. Smith replaced Robin Shroot with Darius Charles at the break, with Scott Laird moving up to left midfield and Luke Freeman switching to the right-hand side. The former Colorado Rapids coach could send his side out like that from the start against the Latics on Tuesday night, although defender Ronnie Henry and strikers Chris Beardsley and Craig Reid, who scored the equaliser against Chesterfield, will also be pushing for recalls. On-loan defender Jamaal Lascelles will hope to make his Boro debut after being an unused substitute at the weekend in his first game following his arrival from Nottingham Forest. Oldham will be missing Tom Adeyami after his loan spell from Norwich ended in the defeat to Yeovil. The Latics are said to be working on a deal to bring Adeyami back, but that will not be in time for the trip to the Lamex Stadium. He has been replaced in the squad by youngster Kirk Millar in the only squad alteration from Saturday's defeat. Keanu Marsh-Brown sits out the second match of his three-game ban for a sending off against Scunthorpe. Robbie Simpson will also miss the game as he awaits news from a specialist regarding his broken toe. Captain Dean Furman is still a couple of weeks away from a return due to a medial knee ligament problem and regular midfield partner James Wesolowski is set to miss the rest of the season following shoulder surgery. Paul Black (hamstring) is also expected to spend the remainder of the campaign on the sidelines, but another full-back, Bradley Diallo, is almost ready to resume training having been absent since October with a serious hamstring injury.
