Match Preview

Westley to assess duo ahead of Robins visit Stevenage boss Graham Westley will check on the fitness of both Craig Reid and Peter Winn ahead of the home clash with Cheltenham. Striker Reid and winger Winn sustained unspecified injuries during the second half of Tuesday night's 3-1 win over Port Vale and had to be replaced. However, Westley will be hoping both players will be fit enough to retain their places, but Byron Harrison is on standby to replace Reid if necessary. Ben May and Stacy Long will could stand in for Winn if he fails to recover in time. Elsewhere, striker Luke Daley has completed his loan spell and returned to parent club Norwich, while midfielder Darren Murphy is not yet ready to return from an ongoing shoulder problem. New signings Medy Elito and Jake Thomson are in Cheltenham`s squad having completed the paperwork on their loan moves on Friday. Elito has joined from Colchester until the end of the season while fellow winger Thomson has switched from Exeter on an initial one-month deal, both will immediately be pushing for starting berths at Broadhall Way. Right-back Keith Lowe is set to miss out having been withdrawn midway through the first half of Tuesday`s last-gasp 2-2 draw with Torquay due to strained ankle ligaments, although he is not expected to miss out long-term. David Bird is likely to start at full-back having performed well when slotting in from midfield against the Gulls. Winger Josh Low (thigh) will undergo a late fitness test as he bids to make his return. On-loan centre-back Ashley Eastham trained on Thursday and is back in the fold having missed the last two games due to his involvement in a minor motor accident.

Match Report

Stevenage romp to victory Stevenage romped to a convincing 4-0 home victory over Cheltenham to claim their third straight win. The deadlock was broken in the 16th minute when Mark Roberts pounced from close range after latching onto Stacy Long's cross. Cheltenham responded with Matthew Green forcing a fine save out of Chris Day, but just past the half-hour mark Stevenage's lead was doubled by Byron Harrison, who forced the ball home from close range. Five minutes before the break the hosts went close again as Long fired in a shot which was bravely blocked by Steve Elliott. Michael Bostwick made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute when he crashed home superbly from the edge of the box and two minutes later Harrison headed in Lawrie Wilson's pinpoint cross.
