Match Preview
McLaughlin set for first home start Conor McLaughlin is likely to make his home debut for Shrewsbury against Oxford, with Joe Jacobson still a doubt. Versatile full-back McLaughlin arrived on loan from Preston until the end of the season and made his bow 24 hours later in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Crewe. He was brought in as Jacobson continues to struggle with a groin strain which had threatened his eventual involvement in last Monday's 2-1 victory over Crawley. Jermaine Grandison was also recalled to defence at Gresty Road while Marvin Morgan started up front, with Shane Cansdell-Sherriff and Terry Gornell dropping to the bench. Manager Graham Turner is not expected to have any new injury concerns and could opt to keep faith with an unchanged XI, although the likes of Gornell, Nicky Wroe, Romaine Sawyers and Lionel Ainsworth are all on hand should he wish to freshen up his ranks. "This is a massive week," said Turner, ahead of the visits of Oxford and Burton. "We've got a great record at home, we've got to go on with that record between now and the end of the season." Oxford manager Chris Wilder will have to contend with James Constable's suspension in addition to an injury nightmare. Striker Constable was sent off after just 11 minutes of the U's' derby clash with Swindon on Saturday for elbowing Robins centre-back Joe Devera, and starts a three-match ban at the Greenhous Meadow. Meanwhile, Wilder will be without six other senior professionals against the Shrews. Midfielder Peter Leven has been ruled out of the contest with a shoulder injury, while captain Jake Wright is unlikely to play a part because of a back problem. Tom Craddock is still recovering from a knee complaint and fellow striker Jon-Paul Pittman will remain on the sidelines after aggravating a hamstring injury. Winger Alfie Potter is out for the season after breaking his ankle in training and defender Tony Capaldi has yet to make his debut for the U's after joining from Morecambe in the summer because of a succession of injuries.

Match Report
Richards rescues Shrews Matthew Richards hammered a glorious late equaliser to preserve Shrewsbury's unbeaten home record as they hit back in style to draw 2-2 with Oxford. Richards drove home from 35 yards deep into stoppage-time as the Shrews stretched their unbeaten record at the Greenhous Meadow to 25 games, a run stretching back more than a year. Oxford led 2-0 at the break but Shrewsbury showed real spirit to pick up a point, with the home side lifted once Mark Wright cracked in an unstoppable volley from Marvin Morgan's cross in the 54th minute. Oxford were in complete control at the interval, with on-loan Southampton man Lee Holmes netting twice. Holmes fired Oxford in front after just 52 seconds when he drove a 20-yard shot to the bottom corner of the net after breaking from just inside the Shrewsbury half. And it was Holmes again in the right place to finish off a devastating counter attack to double Oxford's advantage in the 37th minute. Wright's poor corner was hammered downfield by Asa Hall at the near post and Oli Johnson burst clear to set up Holmes to lift his shot over advancing goalkeeper Chris Neal. In between the goals, Asa Hall cracked a shot from the edge of the area with Shrewsbury creaking. But Graham Turner's men turned the tables after the restart to ensure the spoils were shared.
