Turner to stick with Sixfields stars
Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner will be hard pushed to make any changes to his starting XI for the visit of promotion rivals Morecambe after last weekend's demolition of Northampton.
Turner watched his charges run out 7-2 winners at Sixfields and is likely to stick with the same side, despite James Collins needing less than two minutes to get on the scoresheet following his late introduction off the bench.
West Brom loanee James Hurst came in at right-back for his Town debut with Jermaine Grandison (hamstring) joining fellow defenders Carl Regan (hamstring) and Reuben Hazell (knee) on the sidelines.
Regan is closing in on his return but Grandison remains around four weeks away while Hazell is a long-term absentee.
On-loan Everton midfielder James Wallace serves the final game of his three-match suspension, with Turner hoping to extend the 19-year-old's stay at the Greenhous Meadow having enjoyed just 25 minutes on his debut against Dagenham before seeing he saw red.
Morecambe boss Jim Bentley has no new injuries ahead of the showdown with their fellow play-off chasers.
The Shrimps' form has faltered in recent weeks and Bentley's men are without a win for three matches in all competitions.
A draw with crisis club Plymouth and an FA Cup exit at the hands of League One Sheffield Wednesday was followed by Saturday's last-gasp home defeat to Crewe last weekend.
Nevertheless, Bentley remains confident in his side's capabilities.
"We have to work hard, stick together and not feel sorry for ourselves," he said. "If we had got a point (against Crewe) it would have been six (league) games unbeaten so it is a fine line."
Long-term knee injury victim Paul Scott remains on the sidelines.
Shrimps get Shrews away day blues
Morecambe tasted defeat on their League Two travels for the first time this season after being sunk 2-0 by Shrewsbury goals at the end of each half at the Greenhous Meadow.
The high-flying Shrews, who remain unbeaten at home this term, were made to work hard for their latest victory which was secured by goals from Nicky Wroe and Mark Wright
Recalled midfielder Wroe made the breakthrough in a tight first half of few chances, hammering home a penalty in the 38th minute after Nick Fenton handled a Terry Gornell cross from the right.
Either side of the goal, Morecambe created the two best opportunities of the half. Phil Jevons hooked an early close range volley narrowly wide before Andrew Fleming planted a header just off target after a fine run and cross from Kevin Ellison.
The visitors chased the game with renewed belief after the break. Izak Reid saw a 20 yard drive well kept out by goalkeeper Chris Neal before Chris McCready's header five minutes from time was cleared off the line by Matt Richards.
It proved highly significant when in the 87th minute Marvin Morgan delivered an inviting cross from the right which was headed home at the far post by winger Wright as Shrewsbury stretched their unbeaten run to seven games.
