Williamson blow for Blades Sheffield United midfielder Lee Williamson has been ruled out of the home clash with MK Dons. Williamson sustained a nasty gash just below the knee in a challenge with Leyton Orient's Charlie Daniels only five minutes after stepping off the substitutes' bench in the weekend draw in London. Daniels was sent off for his indiscretion, while the Blades are waiting for the results of a scan to determine the full extent of Williamson's injury. Striker Chris Porter, who scored his fifth goal of the season on Saturday, could also miss out. Porter is rated as 50/50 due to a bruised ankle sustained at Brisbane Road and if he loses his fitness battle Ched Evans will vie for a place alongside on-loan Billy Clarke with Richard Cresswell, who was omitted from the squad altogether at the weekend. The Blades, fifth in the table, are bidding to extend their unbeaten league run to four matches. Manager Karl Robinson will be forced to make at least one change when MK Dons travel north. Clinton Morrison played the final game of his month-long loan spell from Sheffield Wednesday as the Dons drew 0-0 at home to Scunthorpe on Saturday. His return to Hillsborough could result in a start for Jabo Ibehre, who played 45 minutes as a second-half substitute against the Iron after recovering from the hamstring injury that had sidelined him for a month. Robinson revealed that two defenders are nursing knocks from the weekend and are doubts ahead of the trip to Sheffield, but he did not name those players in question. Midfielder Jay O`Shea continues to recover from an ankle problem.

Loan star Phillips on target again Goals from Richard Cresswell and Matt Phillips lifted Sheffield United into fourth place after a 2-1 home win against MK Dons, who had Adam Smith sent-off late on. The visitors enjoyed a good spell when Jabo Ibehre flicked a near post effort wide and Stephen Gleeson saw a couple of shots deflected off-target. But Cresswell gave the hosts a 22nd-minute lead, firing low past Martin after finding himself in space on the left-hand side of the penalty area. The Blades finished the first half strongly with Phillips having a shot saved and Harry Maguire heading narrowly wide. Gleeson struck the equaliser for the Dons in the 52nd minute with a fine shot from the edge of the area. But Phillips put the Blades back in front in the 67th minute, scoring from close range after Billy Clarke had produced a surging run to the byline and played the ball across the face of goal, while the Dons were reduced to 10 men in the 83rd minute when Smith picked up a second booking.
