Millers ready to make Wood work
Rotherham could hand a debut to winger Sam Wood when they welcome high-flying Crawley to Don Valley.
Wood joined on loan from Brentford on Thursday and looks set to go straight into the team in place of the crocked Gareth Evans, who could be out until the new year with an ankle injury.
On-loan Guy Branston looks set to return to the team after he was ineligible for last week's 3-2 win against his parent club Bradford while Michael Raynes is now fully-fit after calf and Achilles problems.
That means there is likely to be yet another change in defence with those two battling it out with Johnny Mullins and Jason Taylor for a spot in the back four.
Manager Andy Scott has no fresh injury concerns to contend with so goalkeeper Jamie Annerson (knee), defender Ryan Cresswell (ankle) and midfielder Mark Bradley (shoulder) remain the only absentees.
Crawley will be without Kyle McFadzean.
The defender was shown his fifth yellow card of the season against Oxford last weekend and serves a one-match ban.
Claude Davis, who started on the bench after a hamstring injury, will come in for McFadzean at centre-half in what is likely to be the only change from the side that beat Oxford 4-1.
Manager Steve Evans has an otherwise fully-fit squad to choose from and this week turned down offers for three of his players ahead of the deadline for loan deals.
Evans did permit one player to leave on loan, though, with defender John Dempster moving to Blue Square Bet Premier side Mansfield for the next three months.
Red Devils sink Millers
Crawley came from a goal down to beat Rotherham 2-1 and move joint-top of npower League Two thanks to second-half strikes from Tyrone Barnett and Josh Simpson
Rotherham turned in their best first half of the season so far and could have been two up inside the first 10 minutes.
In the sixth minute leading marksman Lewis Grabban fired wide when it was much easier to hit the target and three minutes later Brett Williams missed a great chance, firing into the side netting with only goalkeeper Scott Shearer to beat.
But Williams made up for his earlier miss with 20 minutes gone when he chased Alex Revell's nod on from Conrad Logan's goalkick and showed great composure to lift the ball over Shearer and into the net.
Rotherham came close to a second two minutes before the break when Grabban's drive was finger-tipped over the bar by Shearer.
Crawley by contrast were restricted to just one effort - a wild shot from the edge of the area by Barnett which went high over the bar.
But three minutes after the break Rotherham were made to pay for their misses. The visitors looked a different outfit and Barnett's surging run down the left was finished by a powerful shot past Logan.
And in the 66th minute Crawley's second half improvement brought the winning goal. Substitute Jon-Paul Pittman's pull back from the left was fired against the post by Simpson, but he made no mistake tucking away the re-bound.
