Millers marksman set to miss Brewers battle
On-loan striker Tom Elliott is unlikely to be fit for Rotherham's League Two clash with Burton.
Elliott was substituted during the defeat at Shrewsbury last weekend after picking up a hamstring injury and is not expected to face the Brewers, so veteran striker Paul Warne is set to start.
Fellow forward Tom Pope scored twice for the Millers' reserves on Wednesday night and the former Crewe man could be named as a substitute after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a broken metatarsal.
On-loan full-back Dean Holden is available to return after missing the defeat against the Shrews as he was ineligible to face his parent club. Boss Ronnie Moore must decide whether to recall Holden or keep faith with Johnny Mullins
Nick Fenton also featured for the reserves in midweek after recovering from a calf problem, but Moore is expected to stick with the central defensive pairing of Exodus Geohaghon and Ryan Cresswell.
Mark Bradley is back in the squad after returning from international duty, but Dale Tonge and Ryan Taylor are both still sidelined with metatarsal injuries.
Ryan Austin could be back in the Burton squad for the first time in 10 months.
The defender came through his first 90-minute outing since knee surgery in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Wolves on Tuesday. With three other defenders on the injured list, Austin could be a surprise inclusion on the bench at the Don Valley Stadium.
Nathan Stanton has joined full-back`s Richard Jackson and Paul Boertien (calf) in the treatment room after tearing a hamstring in last weekend's win over Hereford, while Darren Moore is also a doubt after he suffered bumps, bruises and cuts following a collision with a perimeter advertising board against the Bulls.
Winger Keith Gilroy and midfielder Adam Bolder (dislocated shoulder) remain out, so Austin's potential return is a welcome boost for boss Paul Peschisolido.
King Harrad rescues point for Brewers
Shaun Harrad grabbed a second-half hat-trick for Burton as Rotherham threw away a three-goal half-time lead in an entertaining 3-3 draw.
The Millers could not have had a better start, with a goal after inside the opening first minute, when Kevin Ellison's 30-yard free-kick found the bottom corner of the net despite Adam Legzdins getting a hand to the ball.
But it was Burton who dominated the opening 30 minutes, though without managing a serious effort on goal. And Rotherham punished them with two goals in five minutes.
First Exodus Geohaghon's long throw was headed home unchallenged by skipper Ryan Creswell after 33 minutes, followed five minutes later when Adam Le Fondre finished off a fine move to turn in his seventh goal of the season.
But Burton pulled one back 52 seconds after the restart. Creswell tried to let a long defensive clearance run back to his goalkeeper, but the ball did not reach him and Harrad nipped in to turn the ball past Andy Warrington.
And on the hour, Harrad added a second from the penalty spot after Johnny Mullins fouled Kevin Grocott and he completed his hat-trick with seven minutes to go from Gregg Pearson's perfect lay-off.
"Will David Moyes be able to turn it around at Ma..."
