Match Preview

Family reunion for Millers Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore is expected to welcome back son Ian Thomas-Moore for the clash with Barnet at the Don Valley Stadium. The striker has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, but after proving his fitness in training, is available for selection. Defender Johnny Mullins is set to continue in defence after fully recovering from the facial injury which caused his withdrawal in the 25th minute of Tuesday`s 1-1 draw with Torquay. Moore recalled on-loan Watford striker Liam Henderson to his starting line-up alongside Adam Le Fondre and Ryan Taylor against the Gulls, and after impressing, he could keep his place. The game comes too early for captain Ryan Cresswell, who remains sidelined with a broken collarbone, but he is close to a first-team return and should turn out for the reserves next week. Barnet boss Paul Fairclough will name new signings Matty Parsons and Mark Byrne in his squad. Highly-rated left-back Parsons, 19, has completed a month-long loan move from Crystal Palace where he has appeared three times for the first team this season, while midfielder Byrne has re-signed on loan from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season. Byrne enjoyed an impressive stint at Underhill earlier this campaign, scoring four goals in 15 League Two starts before his stay was prematurely ended by injury in November. On-loan midfielder Anthony Pulis will also be added to the squad after completing a three-match ban for his debut sending-off against Torquay, but Greg Southam will sit out the second game of his two-match ban for collecting 10 bookings. Recent signing Kwame JJ Adjeman-Pamboe will be hoping for more match action after making his debut during last weekend's 4-1 win over Lincoln as an injury-time substitute.

Match Report

Bees hold on for huge point Rotherham had to settle for a draw after a disappointing second-half performance severely dented their promotion hopes in a goalless draw with Barnet - which handed the visitors a priceless point in their fight against relegation. Rotherham totally dominated the first 45 minutes, but a host of good chances went begging before they went down to 10 men after the break. The home side were quick out of the traps and the visitors had two men booked inside the first seven minutes, but the first real chance fell to the visitors when Mark Hughes' header from Mark Marshall's corner was easily saved. But it was goalkeeper Jake Cole who kept Barnet in the hunt saving from Ryan Taylor, Tom Newey and Liam Henderson. In between Adam Le Fondre saw a shot deflected inches wide with Cole beaten and Ryan Taylor headed just wide. Barnet`s only other chance also came from a Marshall corner, but Anwar Uddin's header was cleared by the home defence. Rotherham failed to keep up the pressure after the break and their cause wasn't helped when Tom Newey was inexplicably sent off by referee Geoff Eltringham. Izale McLeod was booked for holding on to the ball when Rotherham were awarded a free kick, but Eltringham then sent Newey off for a push as he attempted to retrieve the ball.
