Match Report

Mark Robins was disappointed to come away from Griffin Park with just a point on Friday night, that despite his Rotherham side having to come from behind to snatch a draw against Brentford.

Lee Thorpe gave the Bees the lead on 55 minutes latching on to a superb Ricky Shakes through ball to finish with aplomb.

But the Bees' lead lasted just seven minutes as Thorpe quickly turned from hero to villain. The striker, taking on defensive duties, was beaten in the air to an Ian Sharps' cross which was headed in by Millers skipper Graham Coughlan.

And Rotherham boss Robins reckons they should have had more. He said: "I'm disappointed not to have gone away with more than a point, we put them under some real pressure and had the better of the chances.

"We also should have had a penalty when Stephen Brogan was brought down in the first half, it was a stone-wall penalty, but those decisions just aren't going for us at the moment."

Bees boss Terry Butcher was just happy to see his side's losing streak come to an end after three straight defeats. He added: "That will give us some confidence to build on.

"We tried to play with a much higher tempo to give us something to build on and there are some positives to take away and work on during the week."

Marc Newsham was unlucky not to give Rotherham the lead on 20 minutes, but his shot came back off the Bees' post and the same player shot just wide from the edge of the area just before Thorpe gave the Bees the lead.

Following Coughlan's equaliser Peter Holmes had two great chances to win it, firing the first just wide and then forcing a great save from Bees' keeper Simon Brown.

Brown then excelled himself again with eight minutes left, saving with his feet from Newsham after the Bees were caught square at the back.
