Gardyne returns for County
Ross County welcome back striker Michael Gardyne from suspension as manager Willie McStay makes his home debut against Morton.
However, striker Paul Di Giacomo and wide-man Darren Smith remain out through knocks.
"I had to wait three weeks for a game after being appointed and now I have two in the space of three days," McStay said.
The Dingwall boss has picked up quickly on the rigours of life in the First Division.
"All the games in this league are really tight and I would suspect that Morton at home will be exactly the same.
"The players worked incredibly hard in our draw at Partick at the weekend but I identified a couple of areas that we need to work on starting against Morton."
Morton look set to be without striker Peter Weatherson through a back injury for the trip.
Manager Allan Moore's options are further reduced as on-loan Celtic youngster Sean Fitzharris has returned to Parkhead.
The Greenock men went down to Dundee at the weekend, however Moore is wanting more of the same from his players.
"If we tackle things in the same confident mood that we did against Dundee then we will do okay at Ross County," he said.
"One thing we have to do is take any chances that come our way that was the difference at the weekend.
"Dingwall is a hard place to go to but we will be well up for it as we have a sense of injustice after a lot of bad luck against Dundee."
Boyd leaves it late
Scott Boyd's equaliser five minutes into injury time denied Morton their first away win of the season as Ross County salvaged a 2-2 draw.
County were the better side early on and took the lead midway through the first halfwhen Andrew Barrowman nodded in from Martin Scott's cross.
The lead lasted just three minutes, though, as Brian Graham latched on to a sloppy backpass by Scott to equalise from close range.
Morton then edged in front when Graham centred for Allan Jenkins to head home and Stewart Kean nearly made it 3-1 on the stroke of half-time but he headed wide from six yards.
County did not really threaten in the second half but got their barely-deserved equaliser with virtually the last touch when Boyd headed in Michael Gardyne's corner.
"Will David Moyes be able to turn it around at Ma..."
