Match Preview

County midfielder optimistic luck will turn Richard Brittain is looking for Ross County to get back on track with their first home win of the season when Hibernian visit Victoria Park. The Staggies extended their long unbeaten record into the Clydesdale Bank Premier League season with a win at Dundee amidst five draws. But three defeats in a row, the last being a 3-1 loss to Highland rivals Inverness, have been something of a reality check for last season's Irn-Bru First Division champions. Skipper Brittain has had time to reflect during the international break and believes Lady Luck is due a visit. "We have had a solid start but we can do better," the 29-year-old said. "We have lost our last three games and we need to put that right this weekend. "We are playing well. We are maybe not getting that break in front of goal that we did have last season but that will come for us. "If we keep working hard and creating chances as we are doing then it will turn for us. "We have a side packed full of quality. The boys in the starting 11 are all very good players but look at the players who are not even in the squad, so we have quality all the way through and that keeps everyone on their toes. "So we just have to keep believing and working hard. "It would be different if we weren't playing well and not creating chances but that is not the case. "I thought we were excellent in the second half against Caley, away to St Mirren before that the boys were outstanding, but we didn't get the breaks in the final third. But if we keep working hard it will turn for us." County have a number of players missing through injury for the match. Sam Morrow and Martin Scott have been added to the casualty list ahead of the visit of the Edinburgh side. Alex Cooper (ankle) and Mark Corcoran (groin) both remain on the sidelines. Hibernian striker Eoin Doyle hopes to continue where he left off following the international break. The Irishman netted in three successive matches to take Hibs up to second behind Celtic in the SPL table ahead of the trip to Dingwall. Hibs' position is in stark contrast to recent seasons, when the Edinburgh club have been toiling towards the foot of the standings. Doyle believes the mentality of the squad is such that the hiatus will be far from detrimental to Hibs' aspirations. Doyle said: "For me personally I was in good form, so I didn't really want to stop. "When you're in good form and you're getting good results you want to keep going, but I think we've got a good character base in the team and the squad. "The rest was something that was needed across the team. Everyone was working really hard, so I'm sure it will be a benefit to us." Manager Pat Fenlon has made numerous changes since being installed as manager almost a year ago. Doyle, who joined in January, added: "It's a different dressing room and a lot of players have come and gone. What the gaffer has assembled now seems to be clicking well. "It's a good dressing room, everyone's in it for each other and it seems to be paying off. "We're up there near the top of the table and we want to stay up there."
