Match Preview

Adams playing waiting game Manager Derek Adams is leaving the decision over his starting XI against Falkirk until the last minute after a sickness bug struck Ross County's squad this week. Ten played are suffering from the virus, leaving Adams - who is already without striker Sam Morrow and Steven Craig - with considerable cause for concern. Morrow continues to struggle with a hamstring injury, while Craig is serving the final game of an eight-match ban. Adams said: "We sent four more players home from training on Thursday so I have no idea what team I will be sending out at this stage. "This is the biggest game of the season in Division One so far and it is not ideal preparation but we will just have to get on with things." Falkirk have included fit-again defenders Kieran Duffie and Thomas Scobbie in their travelling party. Those boosts, though, are tempered by teenage midfield starlet Craig Sibbald once again being sidelined with a knee injury. The Bairns will be backed by over 1,000 travelling fans, with technical director and one-time County boss Alex Smith saying: "We are in good shape for this game and have some tough decisions to make over who starts. "It should be a fantastic game between two very good teams and we are going into it with a freshness about us - as our young players keep pleasing everyone - and on the back of a great 4-3 win over Livingston last weekend."

Match Report

Seventh heaven for County Ross County won for the seventh consecutive league game by defeating second-placed Falkirk 3-1 to stretch their lead at the top of the table. The home side went ahead with their first attack, Scott Boyd crossing for Stuart Kettlewell who planted his header into the bottom corner. But Falkirk hit back in the 10th minute thanks to Murray Wallace's clinical finish after good work from Farid El Alagui. The league leaders went back in front early in the second half after Michael Gardyne neatly converted Richard Brittain's pass. County made the game safe in the last 10 minutes when Gary Miller picked up on the loose ball and swept his effort into the top corner.
