De Gea focused on Rosenborg Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David de Gea will be putting all thoughts of Sunday's derby showdown with Real to one side until after the "important" Europa League encounter with Rosenborg. Atletico make the trip to the Bernabeu this weekend seeking to end a miserable run that has seen them fail to beat their arch-rivals either home or away since 1999, losing 11 of 17 meetings in that time. However, before the Rojiblancos get a crack at Jose Mourinho's men, they face a potentially key Europa League fixture against newly-crowed Norwegian champions Rosenborg. Holders Atletico suffered a poor start to the defence of their title as they picked up only one point from their opening two Group B games against Aris Thessaloniki and Bayer Leverkusen, but they got themselves back up and running with a 3-0 drubbing of Rosenborg at the Vicente Calderon in round three. That result means Atletico are now one point behind group leaders Leverkusen, level on four points with second-placed Aris, and one point above Rosenborg. With things so tight in the group, Atletico know they can take a big step forward if they can complete the double over the Norwegians. De Gea said: "We have a difficult week ahead of us. On Thursday we have a very important game against Rosenborg. A victory would give confidence to the team, we we didn't start the Europa League well. "After this match then we will have time to think about Real Madrid. The derby is also important, but before that there is another game." Atletico will be without Diego Godin and Jose Antonio Reyes through injury, while out-of-form striker Diego Forlan suffered a blow in training yesterday, although the Uruguay international was still included in a 20-man travelling squad to Trondheim. Rosenborg will head into the match with confidence high after recently clinching their 22nd Norweigian title after beating Tromso 1-0 late last month. That was the 14th league title won by legendary coach Nils Arne Eggen, who took temporary charge of Rosenborg after Erik Hamren became coach of Sweden. The 69-year-old Eggen is set to be replaced by Stabaek's Jan Jonsson this winter. Rosenborg followed up their championship-winning success over Tromso with a goalless draw away to Kongsvinger on Sunday, and they complete their league season at home to Aalesunds this weekend.

Tiago stunner snatches points Tiago struck a sensational late winner to earn Europa League holders Atletico Madrid a hard-fought 2-1 win over Rosenborg that lifts Quique Sanchez Flores' men up to second spot in Group B. Atletico led early on through Sergio Aguero but were pegged back just after half-time by Markus Henriksen's equaliser and for much of the second period it looked like Rosenborg would be the only likely winners. However, Tiago stunned the home side in the 84th minute with a brilliant goal to earn Atletico the spoils. The Portugal international picked the ball up in the centre circle, skipped past three Rosenborg players as he made his way to the hosts area before unleashing an unstoppable 30-yard strike that flew into the top corner, leaving Daniel Orlund with no chance to save. Atletico, having picked up just one point from their opening two games, are now looking well-placed in Group B on seven points, one behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen, three ahead of Aris Thessaloniki and four clear of Norwegian champions Rosenborg. Atletico could hardly have had a better start to the match, taking the lead after just four minutes and creating two other good openings early on as well. Aguero put the visitors in front with his fifth goal in five games since returning from injury, the unmarked Argentinian tapping Simao Sabrosa's cross into a gaping goal as the Rosenborg defence appealed vainly for offside. Tiago and Diego Costa then missed two clear chances in the space of 60 seconds as the Spanish side looked to turn the screw. However, Rosenborg rallied after that and began to create some serious problems for the Atletico defence with their physical forward play and direct football. It was in the second half where the hosts really took control, though, and they had Atletico on the back foot right from the restart. Morten Moldskred headed just wide before Rosenborg drew level in the 51st minute through Henriksen. Veteran forward Steffen Iversen laid the ball into the path of his team-mate, whose low shot went through David de Gea's legs and into the net. The highly-rated De Gea may have felt he could have done better with that goal, but he was his side's hero soon after, producing two fine saves to keep out efforts from Moldskred. Iversen then missed a great chance when he shinned the ball wide from six yards out. At the other end Diego Costa curled a shot wide in a rare Atletico attack. Rosenborg continued to make the most of the running, but they would end up empty-handed after Tiago produced his late moment of magic to settle an entertaining contest.
