Akpa Akpro back in Dale picture Rochdale boss Keith Hill is set to have striker John-Louis Akpa Akpro available for the home clash with Dagenham. The Frenchman missed last weekend's defeat at Bristol Rovers due to a thigh strain but Hill said that he expects him to recover for the visit of the Daggers. Hill has no other injury or suspension concerns as his side bid to bounce back from a run of three successive defeats. Nicky Adams looks set to continue after he made his debut against the Pirates last weekend after joining on loan from Brentford. The winger failed to settle in west London since signing from Leicester and last week agreed a loan deal at Spotland which will be made permanent in January. Dagenham manager John Still has a tactical dilemma on his hands. Still opted to field a 4-5-1 formation last weekend in the 1-1 draw with Walsall but may decide to revert to two up front after Gavin Tomlin recovered from an ankle knock which restricted him to a place on the bench last Saturday. Tomlin may return to partner Bas Savage and either Darren Currie or Damian Scannell will make way for him if he does. Defender Will Antwi recently suffered a setback and is still not training due to his hamstring injury. Former Arsenal full-back Abu Ogogo started training again last Monday after a hamstring problem of his own but will not feature.

Dale back on track with win Rochdale ended a poor run of form with a 3-2 victory over John Still's Dagenham in an entertaining clash at Spotland. Having lost their last three game, the hosts raced into a three-goal lead and looked comfortable until Dagenham pulled a couple of goals back in the second half to set up a nervy finish. The home side were good value for a two-goal lead at the break having thoroughly dominated the opening 45 minutes. The first 15 minutes had seen Chris O'Grady's volley and an Anthony Elding header test Daggers goalkeeper Tony Roberts, and it was no surprise when the deadlock was broken on 22 minutes. O'Grady advanced along the face of the penalty area, played a one-two with Gary Jones and sent a low drive on target from 18 yards, the shot getting a slight nick off Scott Doe to leave Roberts wrong-footed. Rochdale's second was a well-crafted effort, with O'Grady sending Nicky Adams away down the right flank and his first-time cross was tucked away by Elding 10 minutes before the break. After the break, Daggers skipper Mark Arber went close with a powerful header only for Josh Lillis to save and the result was apparently secured when Jones met O'Grady's centre to score from six yards (58). But Dagenham's fightback started when Damian Scannell pulled one back in the 64th minute, when he reacted quickest when Arber's shot was charged down by Craig Dawson. And it was game on when Danny Green's corner towards the near post was flicked into the net by Arber at close range four minutes later, but in the end Dale had done enough to earn the three points.
