Match Preview
Rangers duo missing Rangers will be without defensive duo Steven Whittaker and Lee Wallace for their Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against St Mirren. Whittaker has a hamstring injury and Wallace misses out with an ankle knock. Better news for the champions is the return of midfielder Rhys McCabe for the clash at Ibrox after recovering from a hamstring strain. Manager Ally McCoist claims he was not shocked by the revelations that the club's debt could rise to as much as #134million. Administrators Duff and Phelps published a joint administrators' report and proposals statement to creditors which showed that monies owed by the Glasgow giants stands at #55.4million. Rangers also owed #4million to Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs for the 'Small Tax Case' and could face a further bill of #75million, including interest and penalties, if they lose a dispute with the tax authorities, widely known as the 'Big Tax Case'. But McCoist knows the #134million figure is a worst case scenario if Rangers lose that tax dispute. Asked if he was shocked by the figures, the Ibrox boss said: "I wasn't really to be honest. "It makes for powerful reading and powerful headlines initially. "As frightening as the headline looked, I wasn't scared of anything that I read. "Effectively, it was nothing new to me." St Mirren midfielder Kenny McLean will return from a broken collarbone. Graham Carey has also been passed fit after being forced off with a knock against Kilmarnock last weekend. Defender David Barron is on his way back from a knee injury but is not expected to feature.
