Match Preview
Hill sits it out Raith Rovers will be without suspended defender Dougie Hill for their home clash with Partick Thistle. Winger Scott McBride will also miss out due to a knee injury, but captain Iain Davidson is expected to shake off injury. Manager John McGlynn has the option of calling on youngsters Andrew Walls and Scott Main. McGlynn said: "Beating Thistle would take us above them into the table and on to 12 points, which is a good return for the first nine games. "But Thistle were very impressive against Morton and we have to watch the speed they break at." Partick will be without Willie Kinniburgh, Scott Robertson and Iain Flannigan as they chase their first away league win of the season. Kinniburgh has a hip injury, Robertson is sidelined with a knee problem and Flannigan is still struggling with a back complaint. Thistle secured an impressive win over Morton before the international break and manager Jackie McNamara said: "To win 5-0 was great and to have five different goalscorers showed that it was a great team effort. "We need to take that form on the road with us as we have not picked up enough points away from home. "We need to hit top form again as Raith will be going all out to get themselves moving back up the table at our expense."

Match Report
Rovers return to form Goals from Laurence Ellis and John Baird were enough for Raith to beat Partick 2-0 and end a run of six games without a win in the Scottish First Division. The Jags slightly shaded the opening period, but it was the home side who broke the deadlock on the half-hour when Allen Walker's corner was headed across goal by Grant Murray for Ellis to steal in and convert from close range. The home side doubled their advantage 10 minutes after the break through top scorer Baird's seventh goal of the season, the striker getting on to the end of Brian Graham's cross to head into the bottom corner. Raith had chances to extend their lead but comfortably saw out a result which moves them above the Glaswegians.
