Match Preview

Two missing for Queens Park Queen`s Park head coach Gardner Speirs is hoping home comforts will help get his men back to winning ways when Third Division leaders Stranraer come calling after a five-week break from playing at their Hampden home. The Spiders will be without the injured Giuseppe Capuano while Jack Henry has work commitments and cannot play. Youngster Gordon McPherson is likely to keep his place in goal after some fine performances, despite Adam Strain having played the full 90 minutes in a bounce game in midweek. Speirs said: "The last time we were at Hampden we won well that day against Arbroath, however we have not hit that form since. "We were much more like ourselves last week at Berwick and hopefully being back at the national stadium will inspire us to get another win." Third Division leaders Stranraer will be missing injured pair Glen Mitchell and Kevin Nicol for their trip to Hampden. The Blues boast an impressive league record against Saturday`s opponents, last tasting defeat to the Glasgow side back in March 2001. Manager Keith Knox knows that run will end at some point, however he has no desire for it to be now. He said: "We are going well just now and I want that to continue as I am enjoying being the manager of the team at the top of the table. "You do become a bigger target when you are top but I want the win at Hampden that keeps us there."
