Match Preview
Spiders duo miss out Queen's Park head coach Gardner Spiers will be without Jamie Brough and Graeme Eaglesham for the visit of Elgin, while Jamie Longworth is also a doubt. Defender Jamie Brough misses out through is suspension with striker Graeme Eaglesham definitely out with a knock, and fellow striker Jamie Longworth also struggling. Speirs was glad to get back out on the training field ahead of the tie, but insisted Elgin would provide tough opposition, saying: "Fortunately we have been able to keep training for most of the time but everybody here wants to get back to playing." "They are doing really well just now and also have had the benefit of a couple of games in the past week. We need to show that we are up to speed as quickly as possible after kick off." Elgin are in fine form with 3 wins and a draw in their last 4 games and manager Ross Jack has a full squad for their trip to Queen's Park which will begin at 8.00am. The Black and White's fine run has coincided with an empty treatment room and Paul Kazcan along with Paul Miller are added to the squad that drew 2-2 with Albion Rovers in midweek after missing out through work commitments. Jack said: "We are desperate to come down and the A9 was open on Friday so we will leave Elgin head for Inverness, pick up a couple of more players and hope for the best. It is always much better to play games on a Saturday rather than have to comeback down in midweek."

Match Report
Crooks denies Queen's Park Elgin stretched their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions with a 1-1 draw at Queen's Park. The hosts had the better chances in the first half but Tony Quinn had a volley blocked by Brian Cameron and was then guilty of a weak shot from David Anderson's cross. Peter Donnelly also twice denied Anderson. Giuseppe Capuano was unable to convert a couple of openings after the break but the deadlock was broken after 66 minutes when Martin McBride found Quinn and the midfielder fired past Donnelly. Elgin had to brave the roads to fulfil the fixture and they got their reward when Jason Crooks headed home a Craig Frizzel centre to level the scores with 19 minutes remaining. Donnelly kept out Craig Smith to ensure Ross Jack's side held on for a point.
