Spiders desperate to climb table
Queen's Park head coach Gus McPherson has a full squad to choose from as his struggling Scottish League Two side face high-flying Annan in the first of two meetings between the sides in a four-day spell.
The bottom of the table Spiders are looking for their first goal and points of McPherson's reign as they strive to close the 13-point between themselves and Elgin.
The former St Mirren and Queen of the South manager said: "Every week I have seen progress and last week against Montrose we deserved better than a 1-0 defeat. We created chances but never took them so we know we are not far away.
"Annan are a top team in this league but it is a game we can take something from."
Annan have Kenny MacKay and Iain Chisholm available after injury while they are also boosted by the return of Peter Watson after suspension.
Peter Weatherson's knee injury and David Hopkirk's foot problem keeps the pair on the sidelines.
Manager Jim Chapman is asking his players to show improvement after last Saturday's defeat to East Stirling. He said: "Only our goalkeeper Kenny Arthur got pass marks in our last game so it was a disappointing afternoon and I am looking for better in this one.
"The last time we played Queen's Park we were terrific in the first half and ended up 5-2 winners. A repeat of that would be great."
