Match Preview
Queens get triple injury boost Queen of the South midfielder Rocco Quinn will miss the visit of Cowdenbeath through injury. Allan Johnston, Robert Harris and Craig Reid had been doubts for the game, however they all passed Friday afternoon fitness tests to be included in manager Kenny Brannigan's plans. Forward Colin McMenamin can also feature after signing on a permanent basis this week. Brannigan said: "We did really well to win at Raith Rovers last Saturday and the players deserve great credit for working as hard as they did. "We have to follow that up with a win over Cowdenbeath but it will not be easy as Jimmy Nicholl is doing a great job there. "They are a good side who have improved in this division so we need to play well again to take all three points." Cowdenbeath boss Jimmy Nicholl has ruled Mark Baxter out of the trip after the full-back picked up a shoulder injury. Baxter joins a long list of injured players at Central Park that includes Joe Mbu, John Armstrong, Dene Droudge, Kenny Adamson and Danny Mackay. The Blue Brazil defeated Stirling 5-1 last weekend and Nicholl is looking for more of the same from his men. He said: "Our spirits are really high after that win as you can imagine, but we have to recognise that we put pressure on them and took advantage when they went down to nine men. "Also we did not defend well enough when they had 11 on the park. "Queen's beat us in the third game of the season but I reckon we have improved since then."

Match Report
Queens too strong for Cowdenbeath Queen of the South collected back-to-back victories as they eased to a 3-0 win over Cowdenbeath. The Doonhamers attacked from the outset and it was no surprise when Paul Burns opened the scoring for the hosts. The midfielder latched on to William McLaren's through ball before coolly slotting past David Hay in the 20th minute. Brian Fairbairn nearly grabbed a scarcely deserved equaliser for Cowdenbeath but his 30-yard free-kick produced a fine save from David Hutton. However, Queens doubled their lead in the 34th minute when Ryan Conroy's 20-yard volley rocketed past Hay. McLaren failed to open his account when he struck wide from 12 yards but he was not to be denied a second time as he fired home from close range in the 80th minute.
